Prof. Marie-Stephane Tixier has experience for more than 20 years in research and higher education. She is a specialist in Phytoseiidae systematics and biological control. She is involved in plant protection teaching and coordinates a MOOC on “Taxonomy of arthropods and nematodes for agriculture challenges”. Her work focuses on systematics of phytoseiid mite species and their use as biological control agents on vineyards and vegetable crops. She is involved in the establishment of a website portal with identification keys of phytoseiid species (http://www1.montpellier.inra.fr/CBGP/phytoseiidae/index.html).
